Snowed in, locked in

Max28 @ Thursday, January 29th   [link]

Greetings all, and welcome back to another MKDS news! Max here to cover all the fresh times and action as snowpocalypse 2026 keeps things on ice. They say that good things come in 3s, and this is your update for Week 3 of January 2026, let's get right into it!

New Players

#_ Zandor Veliz joins from the USA with just an Advanced E F8C 3lap to his name.

#_ Grayson joins from the USA with pairs of times on F8C, rMC1, and rBP, just about making it out of the Newbie ranks on F8C.

Activity

#3 Cole Edwards closed out his recent efforts on DKP with a blistering 1'44"527 #9, then took his talents over to TTC scoring 29"592 #8! Those earned him a 0.0781 AF cut in Non-PRB, and even more satisfyingly, put all of his Non-PRB ranks into the single digits. Nice stuff!

#11 Advaita Venkata took some time off updating and business to pick up a pretty massive batch of scores, starting in PRB with WS 1'50"616/36"291 #9/12 Gods and rDP1 17"258 Titan A, then Non-PRB rPC 55"045/17"574 #8/12, rFS 1'37"735/31"740 #9/12, and rBC2 29"978 #17! Those earned him a nice 0.1719 AF cut in Non-PRB and an even bigger 0.5937 cut in PRB, not passing anybody but closing a couple gaps towards #1 USA in PRB and #2 USA in Non-PRB.

#14 Louis Vivarès improved on last week's efforts by an additional .014 with CCB 27"110, but didn't cut any spots with that new score.

#24 Astrid Maruzensky grabbed 6 new times in a week of "just cutting spots," sending in YF 46"981/15"395 Gods, DKP 34"873 God, RR 1'59"707 Myth E, and rMMF 20"678 God, stacking up to a 0.6093 AF cut in Non-PRB! She jumped 3 players this week, bringing her into the top 25 as well as upping her God count to 51/64, exciting stuff from Pennsylvania's finest!

#63 SirLampsALot uploaded a pair of rYC scores this week, grinding out 1'27"048/27"945 Myth B/God! Those earned him a chunky 0.7344 AF cut in Non-PRB, good enough to pass fellow American Ted Kim for the #63 spot.

#67 Joel Vermette braved the winter weather to take on snowy rFS, pulling off 1'41"185/32"733 Myth D/God! He cut 1.1563 AF with just those 2 times, picking up a new place on the charts over Joep van Gelder as well.

#75 Dylan Rees also sent in 2 new times but across 2 tracks, earning a 0.4531 AF cut in Non-PRB with rMMF 21"004 Titan A and rKB2 Non-PRB 43"513 Titan D, but not passing anybody this time around.

#88 Xanix answered "why" on the "Y" tracks this week with 2 pairs of times, dropping YF 47"994/15"669 Myth E/Myth D and rYC Non-PRB 1'28"407/28"284 Titan C/Myth E! The universe responded with a 2.1100 AF cut in Non-PRB, good enough to upset Sean Dyer on the charts.

#98 Oliwia Tachyon also took on YF, picking up 15"763 Titan B, and also dabbled in some PRB with rMC1 40"513 Titan E! She grabbed 1 spot's worth of AF in Non-PRB and a small cut in PRB too, holding her #123 position there.

Players outside the top 100 included #142 'Niko' -6.2340, #213 EisFanOfficiel -13.8900, #231 Charles Schrader -0.2030, #471 Aresse -5.6720 Advanced B, and #718 John Hamler -22.3280.

Unranked

#_ Nancy González picked up 2 new times this week, grabbing AF 34"693 God/#42 and rFS 32"030 #25/God!

Not this update!

Awards

He submitted a couple nice times for a rather big cut at his level, but beyond that picked up a huge milestone of all single-digit ranks in Non-PRB, Cole Edwards wins the POW for Week 3 of January 2026!

That wraps things up for this week! It's been a hot start to the year for new times and movement but not so much on the world records front, maybe we'll catch some of that next week! Until then, stay warm! -Max

Carrick's at the wheel

Max28 @ Wednesday, January 21st   [link]

Greetings all, and welcome back to another MKDS news! Max here, bringing you my personal first update in the new year along with all the news and times from week 2 of January 2026! The powers that be have renewed my updating contract for another year and I need to make some 'content' to earn my $0 salary, so without further delay, let's find out just what the karters have been cooking!

New Players

#_ Halit joins from Germany with 4 times ranging in the Beginner and Intermediate ranks.

#_ MKWiggler joins from the Philippines with 4 3lap times in the Beginner ranks.

Activity

#3 Cole Edwards picked up another DKP lap improvement with 33"921 #6, becoming the 11th player to sub 34 but improving well beyond that mark to nearly snag a top 5 spot. That improvement netted him a 0.0781 AF gain in Non-PRB while continuing to eye down the former and current champ for the top 2 places.

#14 Louis Vivarès grabbed a nice flap PR in typical Louis fashion, improving to CCB Non-PRB 27"124 God/#8! Unfortunately for him, that earned him no AF change this time around, but nonetheless a nice PR to kick off 2026.

#27 Astrid Maruzensky delivered a tripartite package of DH PRs, grabbing Non-PRB 1'11"908/22"275 #33/29 Gods and PRB flap 21"886 #30 Titan A! Those earned her a 0.5313 AF rank up in PRB, passing 1 to the #35 spot there, and a 0.2813 cut in Non-PRB without passing anybody this time. Excellent work!

#37 Axel Verplaetse took out 7 scores on 5 tracks this week, pulling off DKP 1'47"672 Myth B, MC 29"496 God, AF 1'45"652/34"717 Gods, PG 1'27"302/28"051 Gods, and BC 36"863 God for a serious 1.8906 AF cut in Non-PRB! He passed one of the USA's finest, Nick Welch, with those scores, as well as a couple great God times to bring him to #48/64! For those doing the math along at home, that's exactly 3/4 of the way to 0 ARR and overall God, just about time for the final stretch so good luck and Godspeed!

#38 Mikey Esposito grabbed a pair of CCB Non-PRB scores this week with 1'24"785/27"622 #32/34 Gods! Those 2 times bumped him up 1.1875 AF in Non-PRB, passing nobody and leaving him at #39, but 1.2344 AF in PRB where he passed 3 players to jump to #38! It's very funny for the ranks to work out like that, but his PRB AF is just slightly lower than Non-PRB at the moment so it's only fair for that rank to be a spot higher. Anyways, great work and nice times!

#58 DingusKingus picked up 1 new time this time, sending in rCM 1'48"325 #42/God for a decent little 0.6718 AF cut in Non-PRB, unfortunately not passing anybody this time out.

#68 Joel Vermette managed 3 PRs while hiding out from the mighty Manitoba winter, mailing in WP 39"799 Myth C, rPC 56"781 Titan C, and rFS 33"073 Myth D, all Non-PRB! Those earned him a 0.7031 AF cut in Non-PRB, not passing anybody this time, but he gets to sit between the 2 funny numbers for a bit longer yet.

#98 Oliwia Tachyon followed up her top 100 debut last week with 2 new times, grinding out Non-PRB YF 47"923 Myth E and rMB 1'12"890 Titan E! Those added up to a 0.4850 AF cut in Non-PRB, good enough to pass 1 person and secure that no checkbox spot some more!

Players outside the top 100 included #147 Eighty -0.1880, #148 Mats Frium -0.8910, #153 Mathieu Lavoux -0.0150, #226 EisFanOfficiel -16.5160 Hero E, #231 Charles Schrader -6.3750, #478 Aresse -3.7500, #544 Waluigified -17.2970 Advanced D, #733 David González -0.4530, and #741 John Hamler -5.2340.

Happy New Year!

Quantum @ Saturday, January 17th   [link]

Hello loyal MKDS players, I would like to extend a very Happy New Year from the MKDS updating team! I hope that 1984… I mean 2026 is a very fruitful year of Kart for all of you! The POY poll is coming soon, me and max have a tentative nom list, and the stats are almost done being compiled. All of you will have the opportunity to use your State-approved right of Democracy to choose the best player of 2025!

P.S. I forgot to 0 the charts so I'm not including AF cut statistics, sorry about that!
Glory to MKDS!

#3 Cole Edwards is our highest ranked player this week, and he submitted a singular cut on DKP flap of 34.023 for #11! A great run for sure, and very close to his goal of a single digit rank. Stay tuned next week to see where he ended up!

#19 Marius Sorgenfrei reaches the 1x ranks this week with a very nice RDP1 17.173 for #22 on PRB!

#27 Astrid Maruzensky finally unhoarded this week and had a huge jump! She started out on PRB with a DH 22.080 #46, RKB2 41.267 #50, and a nice sub on RLC2 with 24.978 for #33. On NonPRB she knocked out a ton of Gods, getting F8C 1:14.349/24.490 #23/#22, LM 1:33.081/30.278 #36/#31, DS 1:31.568 #38, WP 1:59.998/39.403 #50/#42, SR 32.792 #47, DKP 1:47.695/34.972 #41/#44, TTC 1:32.340 #27, MC 1:31.599/29.441 #35/#16, WS 1:55.946/37.921 #37/#46, PG 1:26.839/27.993 #18/#21, BC 1:54.225/36.637 #34/#29, RR 38.692 #34, RFS 32.080 #25, RBC2 1:32.585/30.186 #26/#24, RCI2 15.805 #40, RSG 1:08.505/21.183 #19/#20! Absolutely massive cut here which was good enough to jump from #35 -> #27 overall on NonPRB, and these times put her up to 50 Gods!

#38 Axel Verplaetse had to take some time off of the God grind due to school, but he still found time to get a nice sub and flap GOD on DKP with 34.903 for #41!

#64 SirLampsALot stays comfortably ahead of our next entry on this weeks news with a nice batch of times! He got F8C 1:15.881 #85, CCB 28.347 #96, RMC1 42.640 #85, SR 1:42.478 #92, and a huge SR 32.750 flap GOD for #44 WW, all on NonPRB! Definitely an exciting start to the year, and hopefully the first of many strong weeks!

#68 Joel Vermette has no intention of slowing down from last year it seems, and he started off the new year with only flaps! He got AF 35.092 #87, WS 37.983 #50 for a huge sub and flap GOD, RDP1 18.043 #67, RBC2 30.824 #83, and RCI2 16.074 #67! Definitely getting close to subs on both RCI2 and RDP1, great times and good luck for the rest of the year!

#89 Xanix seems to be inspired by Forrest's flap grind and only submitted flaps himself! He drove DH 22.649 for #69, RKB2 13.454 #84, and a crazy sub on RDP1 of 17.996 for #60! Great to see you continue playing this year, and hopefully you will get some CRs soon!

#99 Oliwia Tachyon finally makes her grand debut inside the top 100!!! She chose quality over quantity to get it done, with huge cuts on MC of 1:33.495/30.038 #99/#78 and WS 2:00.194 #123! Huge congratulations, and welcome to the top 100!

Quantum @ Thursday, January 1st   [link]

Well folks what a year of MKDS it is been! I would like to wish you all a very happy New Year from the MKDS updating team! Speaking of the updating team, I would like to extend my thanks to all the updaters who came before me, especially Max and Etch, for keeping this site going for so many years! I will certainly do my best to contribute to the legacy of the MKDS PP. Additionally, before we get to the final week of 2025 market analysis, I have two announcements.

Firstly, a full year is market report (POY stats) will be available some time in January or early February at the latest (our accountants are quite busy), and once they are up all of you will have the chance to vote for the best stock (player) of 2025!

Secondly, a very well known trader by the name of Puddings has been found out for insider trading (alting). Her alt Sofija Stojanovic has been removed from the players page. As a result of this, some of the AF cuts might be wrong outside the top 100. If your name is not mentioned but you submitted then please let me know. We take market fairness very seriously here on the MKDS index fund, and as a result, Puddings will be banned from the market (players page) indefinitely. Thank you all for your input regarding what should be done regarding this matter. Additionally, I would like to point out that Puddings is indeed a real person with real feelings, so please do not send her any negative messages as a result of this!

Business.

Blue Chips
#3 (DOC, -0.0156) Cole Edwards is the most valuable NonPRB stock this week, and he submitted a single improvement on DKP flap: 34.329 for #15 WW! While this time is not quite up to Docs legendary status, market forecasts indicate that big improvements are coming soon on DKP from him. In 2026, there is a good chance that DOC will be the most valuable stock on the NonPRB market, so everyone should be ready to invest!

#11 (QNTM, -0.7344) Advaita Venkata is the most valuable PRB stock this week, and I shattered all market projections! On PRB, I got DH 21.691 for #19WW and after a huge grind, I got RSG 19.887 for #7 and CR! On NonPRB, I got RBP 8.154 #35, DH 21.997 #11, RSG 21.049 #11, SR 32.498 #23, and RPC 55.107 #10. This resulted in a PRB AF cut of 0.7344, and a NonPRB AF cut of 0.5156, which was good enough for me to pass Lee on PRB for #11 WW and USA #2! Additionally, my RSG and DH NonPRB improvements were enough to 64-0 Alaktorn, leading to an all-time high valuation! I can personally assure all shareholders that in 2026 the improvement will not stop, we are going to the moon!

#20 (MARS, -1.3750) Marius Sorgenfrei made his shareholders proud with a very diverse portfolio this week! Looking closer, we find that he got RDP1 52.803/17.378 #32/#37 and F8C 24.189 #36 on PRB, and YF 46.727/15236 for #31/#24 on NonPRB! This resulted in a 1.3750 AF cut bringing him back inside the top 20 PRB just ahead of Cole. it is clear that he still has a lot of potential left, so I would invest early!

#38 (EVIL, -2.2656) Axel Verplaetse was the fastest growing stock this year, and this week he did the unthinkable with an RLC2 25.483 flap GOD for #7 WW! I would like to extend my personal congratulations for this incredible feat! Of course a single improvement would not be enough to satisfy his hungry shareholders, so he also dropped RLC2 1:18.445 #20, PG 1:27.692/28.387 #33/#44, and dual SR GODs with 1:39.944/32.708 #37/#39! No doubt he is the one of the major stocks to invest into in the coming years, incredible performance for your first year on the market!
P.S. I did not have a good stock name for you, and astrid thought that this stock name was fitting :p

#39 (STAB, -0.8438) Mikey Esposito (better known as The New York Stabber) comes to us this week fresh from stabbing every trader at The New York Stock Exchange! While he was not busy halving the population of Wall Street, he managed to get two new F8C NonPRB GODS, with a 1:14.467/24.566 for #33/#33! Insiders say that he and our next entry are sure to skyrocket in value in 2026, and personally I would have to agree!

#44 (TANK, -0.1562) Astrid Maruzensky is slow-rolling her investors with some "creative" accounting techniques this week. Even though it is well known that she has many more PRs than what her sheet indicates, on the books all we see is a 24.224 F8C PRB flap for #41 WW! Certainly some highly suspicious activity going on here but I am certain that these shady practices will not be present in 2026, and that her stock is a sure bet next year! I will remember this in POY stat calculations next year though...

#50 (CRAB, -0.7656) Fiona had a bit of a slow year this time around, but she made it in right before market close with a really nice NonPRB RKB2 flap of 13.225 for #22! Even with a slow year (by her standards) this time around, CRAB stock is still definitely near the top of market watch next year and that RKB2 flap should reassure investors that they made the right choice!

#54 (VIV, -1.0313) Mokuren uncharacteristically decided to play some NonPRB this week! He submitted two improvements on RDP1, with a 56.192 / 18.155 for #38/#85! As with many of the players on this site who got their start on wifi, his timesheet is not indicative of his true strength, and as a result his stock is highly volatile. Only time will tell how far his valuation goes up in 2026, but for the fearless investor, this might just be the bet to make!

#66 (LAMP, -1.1563) SirLampsALot was one of the biggest movers in 2025, and he ended off the year with a bang on BC! After a long grind, he dropped a 1:57.252/37.616 for #91/#79 resulting in a nice 1 AF cut! Forecasts do not show any sign of him slowing down, so I would bet big while you can still afford one of his shares!

#68 (FRST, -3.6563) Joel Vermette is right on the heels of Lamp with a massive AF cut of his own! He took his talents to both the NonPRB and PRB category this week, beginning with a DH flap 22.649 on PRB for #110 and MC flap 29.771 on PRB for #96! On NonPRB, he had DH 22.684 #77, BC 1:46.455 #70, RKB2 43.265 #64, RDP1 56.764/18.049 #68/#67, and RYC 1:27.743/28.290 #82/#83! This massive improvement across the board got him a sweet 3.6 AF cut, closing out the year with a bang! Originally known for his incredible battle mode performance and RRSC expertise, Forrest shows that he can do just about anything this year, and similar to Lamp, I would buy one of his shares while you still can!

#76 (QUAG, -0.6406) Dylan Rees continues his steady climb through the top 100 this week with a dual RFS improvement of 1:41.783/33.016 for #103/#105! He started off as a BP Flap specialist (much like another notable player in this weeks news...) but he proved this year that his talents are far more general, submitting a solid AF cut almost every week! While not as volatile as guys like Axel, he shows no signs of slowing down, making him a safe bet for any investors looking to get into the MKDS market!

#89 (RLC2, +0.0470?!) Xanix has not been seen on the market for a long time but he is back with a strong RSG NonPRB flap of 21.882 for #76 WW! Only time will tell if this RLC2 prodigy will grace the market with his level again, but for now we can appreciate that he got one improvement in before market close!

Penny Stocks
#101 Oliwia Tachyon (-0.6880), #117 Rieshy (-1.3900), #149 'Niko' (-9.0930), #150 Andreas Gkinis (-2.7030), #262 Faye Valentine (-7.2350), #284 Taylor Harris (-0.9850), #576 Petros (-2.2820), #577 Waluigified (-12.7970), #648 Xanthan (-74.0910), #940 Zippy8 (-7.5800)

RLC2 flap GOD is an insane achievement, and even moreso when you are rank 38, so the POW is going to go to Axel!
He went up almost 20 places this month and just barely gets into the top 150 with a huge 9AF cut to solidify it, so 'Niko' wins the POM for December!
There is no doubt about it this time, after 3 incredible months back to back, Rieshy wins the POQ!

Merry Christmas!

Quantum @ Thursday, December 25th   [link]

Merry Christmas once again karters! It is your favorite washed "superstar" Puddings here to deliver another EXTENDED MKDS NEWS!!! Quantum has gifted me this lovely chance (chore) to celebrate another great year of MKDS by having everyone's times talked about! Even the shitty ones! Let's get started!

Inactivity

New Players
Abatori joins us from the Dominican Republic, being the first player from the nation to join our lovely page! Welcome! They had two submission posts this week totalling 19 pairs of times, getting a good chunk of their timesheet finished! Their standout times include a pair of flaps on TTC and rPC debuting at the intermediate standard and the mid 800s rank wise. A decent start for sure, looking forward to more times!

IUOHSD289 joins us from Brazil with honestly one of the strangest usernames I've ever seen on this site, up in the ranks with DonutStriker96, F-00', Silkychris999, OnlinePickle and Axel Verplaeste for sure. But what isn't bad is the time they submitted! A very strong F8C 1:17.563/25.738 #211/#293 Hero C/Exp B time. Praying this won't be just a one off and we'll see more from you! Great time!

Hot Kart Boys
Damn it really was only men in the top 100 this week who submitted lol

#3 Cole Edwards gifted the community with one new time this week, WP 38.641 #9. No clue what his previous flap was but this run was pretty ballin and great to see from our sexy NA kart god himself. This gave him a modest -0.1094AF cut, inching closer and closer to #2 Beta.

#21 Marius Sorgenfrei is our next top karter to deliver times this week with F8C 1:13.907/24.532 #51/#61 PRB. This brings him into the rare 1:13 air on F8C, which notable 90-degree rotated European scrub "Tijs Bitter" was never quite able to achieve. These improvements netted Marius a decent 0.15625AF cut, slightly gaining ground on Cole who doesn't even play PRB which is actually kinda hilarious lmao

#38 Mikey Esposito missed last week's submission window by a few hours but that's only because he KNEW I would be writing this week's news and wanted it to be featured now. He scored a PG 1:26.676/28.104 #15/#27 NonPRB and honestly man your yt description says it all, this track is infuriating to optimize and I frankly can't bring myself to play it anymore but wow what a huge sub haha ggs. As for the flap, I turned off my bangin music to hear this "foul language" at the end of the video and I was frankly disgusted and was very much in need of the provided apology… These two times resulted in a 0.6250AF cut, making slow progress towards notable left nut haver Nick Welch.

#77 Dylan Rees came down our chimneys (uninvited) and showed us 3 of his new times including MC 1:32.839/30.035 #68/#76 NonPRB, RDP1 56.193 #38 NonPRB. These are some pretty decent times on some fun tracks, shame about the missed sub on MC flap but we ball. The dead pixels on your DS look like a side profile of the dry bomber and a battleship firing a huge ass gun, that's pretty badass. Nice times man, have a 1.1563AF cut passing two players to settle in nicely behind Finnish champion Aatu Hahto for 77th!

Real Karter Hours
#97 Kuba Kowalski did not get any new times but now wants the site to be aware that he wishes to represent the nation of Germany and the region of Schleswig-Holstein. This notably clears up the title of Polish champion to…

#104 Oliwia Tachyon wrapped up 9 new times this week, all nice including… CCB 1:27.040/28.401 #79/#102 Titan A/C, SR 33.754 #159 Hero A, BC2 1:35.600/31.155 #121/#124 Titan D/E, KB2 43.665 #104 Titan E, rSG 1:12.182/22.459 #122/#139 Hero A. Overall a great showing and improving times on a lot of annoying to drive tracks. I think most impressive among the times this week was the CCB, in reaction to me playing the track she went and slashed over a second off her time and scored a strong TITan! These cuts were good enough for another 2.703AF, moving her up 3 spots to #104, getting ever closer to top 100 and breathing down the neck of my arch-nemesis Luke Norman XDDDDd

#119 Rieshy returns this week with 3 new flaps, bundled up all nice for us to enjoy Christmas morning! These include LM 31.151 #101 Titan B, MMF 21.458 #143 Hero A and KB2 13.506 #136 Hero A. Gonna keep it real bro, literally never heard of you before cuz I've been gone for most of the year but if you’ve got this far on the ranks you're clearly up to great stuff and even though top 100 is out of reach for the end of the year you can definitely get there! This week resulted in a modest AF cut of 2.782, passing my GOAT Flora and placing you right behind my other GOAT Rafeal! That’s great company!

#147 Eighty brought us 7.5% of their username's times this week across four tracks with DS 30.469 #153 Hero B, TTC 1:38.591/31.271 #218/#142 Hero C/Titan D, RR 38.707 #35, rCM 1:52.074/36.635 #149/#150 Titan E/D. PLEASE improve your TTC time I know you def can you’re literally goated. I have been enjoying watching your timesheet slowly become more filled out with strong times so any step towards that is a good one. This week results in a 1.5620AF reduction, cutting no spots on the charts but still decent!

#159 IVY ROSE BABIE that’s right I’m not dead! Coming back with my 2nd and 3rd PRs of the year in a pair of 3laps with CCB 1:29.521 #186 Hero B and DKP 1:53.996 Hero D. Did I miss the submission window by like 16 hours? Yeah but who cares? I gotta stay relevant somehow. The first time is actually pretty awesome but I’m still repressing the DKP 3lap and plan to improve that for next week. Overall I scored an AF cut of 0.96875 to just barely remain in the top 160 but I fear Niko is coming for my head soon…

Speaking of…
#161 Niko is rapidly approaching my location (much like Santa) with 7 new times including… YF 15.860 #167 Titan D, LM 1:38.077 #204 Hero C, TTC 31.719 #201 Hero B, DP1 18.332 #134 Hero A, FS 33.695 #166 Titan E, CM 36.372 #118 Titan B and LC2 26.719 #166 Hero B. A solid showing with plenty of titans from a steadily improving player who I’ve heard nothing but good things about! I hope there are more excellent PRs delivered to you for the rest of this year. This was good for a clean 4.5AF cut!

#223 WilsWortel is "gonna get back in to the game soon" but leaves us with 5 new times to hold us over until then! Our meal consists of rCM 37.730 #298 Exp A, rBC 1:38.183/32.666 #257/#373 Hero E/Exp C and rDP1 18.542 #179 Hero C. A modest selection of times but much left to be desired from Wils considering some of his stronger times. This was still good for a 2.578AF cut, enough to move up 3 spots in NonPRB!

#243 EisFanOfficiel continues to have one of the weirdest usernames on the site and submitted SIX separate times throughout the week meaning I’m not gonna be compiling his times together to review cuz I seriously can’t be bothered at this point. The rMB 3lap is pretty good I guess lol. However many times were submitted totalling to an AF cut of 10.594 which is enough to cut 7 spots in NonPRB, racing towards the top 200.

#486 Aresse is literally double the rank of our previous karter and would like to note that “they are back, again”. They too, have made the crucial mistake of submitting SIX separate times across the week as well placing them squarely on the naughty list. I will congratulate you for your sub minute on rPC 3lap, the best category ever, but that’s all you’re getting from me! Total AF cut this week was 4.532 which was somehow good enough to cut 7 spots?! This includes American SMK Champ Jonathan Toole-Charignon who has not submitted a time in 14 years.

FINISH YOUR TIMESHEET
Xanthan dumps a ton of times this week, some of which are apparently “abysmal dogshit” and honestly I gotta agree with some of those claims! Chief among these lovely times is a new site 2nd worst on Bowser Castle 3lap with an impressive 3:43.012! You will be rewarded for this poor play no longer from me however! Get improving, rookie!

NITROFOX blesses us with a new pair of times this week, MC1 42.782/13.795 #96/#178 Titan B/Hero B. These times are quite good and notably VERY close to my own times of 42.857/13.782 so they must be good cuz I’m also quite good. Great to see new talent posting new and impressive times, looking forward to more!

Marcusman from Lithuania might be a new player. I'm genuinely not sure I’m sorry if I’m not including you in the right section of news but you weren’t written about in last week’s news so idk. Anyways I think you’re off to a good start with some decent times on MC1 and DP1, keep it up and get that timesheet filled in!

Activity

#12 Advaita Venkata took a break from Wifi practice to grab rSG 1'00"976 Myth C, taking down a USA CR and the #10 worldwide time! He picked up a 0.0937 AF cut in PRB, getting close to passing Leon for the #2 USA spot.

Excellent work!

#48 Kevin Shin sent in his first PRs in nearly 3 years with Non-PRB DS 29"675 Myth C and SR 1'42"093 Titan A! He's lost a few places since the last time he played, but gained some of that back with a 0.8594 AF cut, passing 1 player. It's great to see him back with some new times, here's hoping we see some more again soon!

#71 Joel Vermette grabbed a couple new times this week, firing off BC 37"491 Myth E and rMC1 Non-PRB 13"351 God for a 1.4844 AF cut, passing 3 people! That's a sweet return for 2 nice times, and he also ranked up to Titan A Non-PRB ARR!

#79 Dylan Rees grabbed 4 scores with a fortnight remaining in the year, bringing forth rMB 23"878 Titan E, rSG Non-PRB 1'11"819/21"763 Hero A/Myth B, and rDP1 PRB 17"873 Titan E! We dedicate to him a 0.5313 AF cut in Non-PRB and 0.7030 in PRB, but he didn't pass anybody on either chart.

Happy 20th Anniversary to our friends in Japan, on the way to deliver another great year of karting excellence!

New Players

#_ Zippy8 joins from Canada with only a Beginner D time on DS 3lap so far. At least it's not Newbie!

Activity

#12 Advaita Venkata gets us started this week, lighting things up with 5 new times! He grinded out some PRB to score rPC 51"492/16"999 Myth C #9/11, before focusing back on Non-PRB to score CCB 1'23"832 #16, DKP 1'45"956 #21, and rBB 34"475 #13! All those times added up to an even 0.2500 AF cut in Non-PRB and 0.3907 in PRB, not ranking up just on either chart but masterfully flexing some AF smashing skills!

#21 Marius Sorgenfrei picked up a couple new scores this week, grabbing F8C PRB 1'14"020 Titan C and rBP 42"777 Myth E! He improved by 1.0469 AF in PRB, but that wasn't enough to pass anybody this week, although he has skillfully positioned himself to overtake Cole E. for a top 20 PRB spot before the end of the year.

#48 Mokuren picked up a really fantastic 3lap on RR SC, taking down 1'41"800 #7/God, excellent stuff!

#67 SirLampsALot pulled out 4 big scores this week, sending in Non-PRB DS 30"076 Titan C, SR 33"228 Titan A, rCI2 16"164 Titan C, and rSG 1'11"076 Titan D, earning himself a 1.9687 AF cut but not passing anyone this time. More important than that, he delivered the much-anticipated long-awaited Myth E rank up, excellent work and congratulations!

#74 Joel Vermette took on a bunch of retros and DS too this week, scoring DS 1'33"549 Titan B, rMC1 42"742 Titan A, rLC1 1'14"153/24"291 Myth E/Myth D, rBC2 1'34"664 Titan B, rBP 8"187 God, and rSG 1'11"232 Titan D, all Non-PRB! Those earned him a big old 2.8750 AF cut, but that wasn't enough for him to pass anyone this week either.

#79 Dylan Rees picked up 1 fresh time this week, racing CCB Non-PRB 28"201 Titan A for a quick 0.1250 AF cut, not passing anyone this time.

#95 Nathan Hayter sent in his first times in who knows how long, as usual valiantly defending his top 100 place with 4 new times! He scored Non-PRB CCB 28"330 Titan B, DKP 1'51"293/35"871 Titan E/Titan B, and rBC2 1'35"861 Titan E, stacking up a 3.9210 AF cut to pass 5 people! It was looking a little dicey for him on the #100 spot, but now Josh Habben is in the hot seat while Nathan is ranking up to Titan C ARR, great stuff!

Players outside the top 100 included #108 Oliwia Tachyon -2.0470, #123 Rieshy -4.9850 Titan E, #151 Eighty -1.3280, #168 'Niko' -2.2030, #292 Klefki -17.2970, #293 EisFanOfficiel -8.7660, and #611 Waluigified -31.1720.

The Long Night

Quantum @ Monday, December 8th   [link]

Hello everyone, this is Quantum and I welcome you all back to the players page! Today is the 20th anniversary of MKDS in Japan, but I will leave that for Max to cover next week. I still wish a very happy anniversary to all the Japanese players who are celebrating today, and I encourage you all stay tuned for Max's post here about it next week!

This week was a bit slow for the top 100, but I want to shout out the non top 100 players this week for having 6 new players!! That’s more than I can ever remember updating, and I’m sure it’s the highest number in a long time. Thank you all for keeping this game alive!

With that being said, let’s go to the news.

Kings of Winter
#8 (-0.0469) Abel Marques starts us off this week with an incredible RR 1:41.883 SC time for #7 WW! While this time is already really fast, what makes it even more impressive is that Abel went for the old shroomless route on the loop SC all 3 laps, instead of using the shroom L1. Expecting nothing less from an RR master, congrats!

#74 (-1.5781) Joel Vermette submits for the first time in a while this week and returned in style with a dual PR on RMB of 1:12.638/23.609 for #120/#87, and smashed the RSG flap GOD with 21.617 for #48! These PRs resulted in a massive 1.5 AF cut, which is hopefully the first of many in the coming weeks!

#79 (-0.2031) Dylan Rees finishes this week also on RSG NonPRB flap, with a 21.775 for #69! This one PR got him a pretty large 0.2 AF cut, but fell just short of the GOD standard. Congratulations on the flap, and good luck if you aim for the GOD!

#110 Oliwia Tachyon (-0.9220), #123 Rieshy (-15.7650), #126 Daragh Murray (-0.9850), #153 Eighty ( -2.9370), #158 Andreas Gkinis (-1.6410), #275 Dillon Karst (-0.2810), #422 Daniiel (-76.4530), #749 John Hamler (-2.6720), and #791 Aaron Jablonski (-2.8440).

Big cuts from outside top 100 this week, but for a huge 76 AF cut, this weeks POW is going to go to Daniiel!

He's been pushing top 100 this November with huge cuts every week, so the POM for November is going to go Rieshy!!

Happy anniversary again to the Japanese players, and keep on karting!
