Inactivity Activity #4 (-0.0156) Boreas kicks the festivities off with an absolute treat, using the superbounce trick on WP flap to achieve a 29.733, good for 2nd WW! Only 3 frames stand between him and WR, will we see a 2nd WR in 2026? Only time will tell! #16 (-0.1719) Shami Momo brought the BLS to rBB, expertly navigating the tight spaces for a scary good 1:44.490 (#14)! #24 (-0.2031) Axel Verplaetse took to the gloomy skies of AF, dropping 1:45.559 / 34.599! #40 (-1.0313) SirLampsALot brings 2 times this week, slashing one of his last 3 remaining Myth times with DH 1:12.965 (Myth E), then carved up rDP1 flap with an impressive 17.712 (God, #19)! #76 (-0.5469) Oliwia Tachyon took to the sands of CCB, achieving a very nice 1:26.417 (Myth D)! She then made her way to the terrifying LM for a strong 1:36.548 / 31.141 (Titan E / Titan B)! #77 (-3.7348) Paramorilis X rounds out the top 100 action for this week, slicing and dicing a baker's dozen of non-PRB times! This week he strung together CCB 1:28.299 (Titan D), LM 31.436 (Titan D), WP 2:03.521 / 40.537 (Titan D / Titan D), SR 1:43.235 / 33.326 (Titan D / Titan B), TTC 1:36.507 (Titan D), rLC1 24.053 (God), rDP1 56.918 (Titan C), rFS 1:41.466 (Myth E), rBC2 1:34.954 (Titan C), and rCI2 16.178 (Titan C)! Welcome to the site! #1028 Arvo Koskikallio of MKW fame joins us from Finland with a self-described sheet of one-tries, mostly Newbie but with a few Beginner times sprinkled in! He says he will be back at some point, we'll have to wait and see! Activity #8 Abel Marques dropped a small improvement on PRB RR 3lap with a 1:41.229, maintaining his #7 spot for the course. Due to this and minimal movement towards the top, he cut 0 AF for the week, but as they say... consistency is key! #40 SirLampsALot cut a very nice 1.4844 AF this week to further cement himself as a top 40 player, dropping MC 1:31.868 (Myth E) and BC 1:54.367 / 36.776 (Myth B / God)! Only 3 titans remain for the full Myth sweep... #76 Oliwia Tachyon put together two new times this week, a strong YF 15.454 and rMB 1:12.195 (Titan C)! These allowed for a very solid 0.6250 AF cut, bringing her ever so closer to a spot in the top 75! #79 Paramorilis X brings us another bulky submission, overhauling 21 of 64 times! Hey everybody, Max here with another MKDS news! ... ... ... Where is everybody? Things are real quiet around here.... maybe they all went to check out the Karter Contest Group Stage? (You should too, I recommend you go vote for all your favorite MKDS players!) There was a truly frightening lack of new times this week, making this update a breeze! As to why it still took a week and a half, uhh..... Well, we're here now, so let's recap all those new times for Week 3 of August 2026! Inactivity New Players #823 Kyle H. joins from Washington state in the USA with a full set of times! He wanted to get into the Combined Rankings and has done just that, now to improve and earn some more points! Activity #28 Axel Verplaetse leads the way with the most new times this week (other than Kyle) with PRB F8C 1'13"794 Titan B, RR 33"299 God, rDP1 53"117/17"202 Titan A/Myth E, rLC2 1'15"088/24"599 Myth D #18/16, and rKB2 41"233 Titan B, as well as Non-PRB rYC 27"814 #30! Those earned him a smooth 0.2812 AF cut in Non-PRB and 2.7656 in PRB, good enough to pass 2 people and officially bring his PRB rank above his Non-PRB! That's not something we've seen at this level from a newer player outside of Japan in quite a while, so it's exciting to see somebody take on PRB and excel at it, here's to more chesting through the grass! #53 Joel Vermette picked up 2 new times this week, sending in Non-PRB SR 1'42"651 Titan C and rBB 35"595 Myth D, good enough for a 0.0938 AF cut. Hello everybody, and welcome back to another MKDS update! I hope you didn't miss me too much, because love me or hate me, I'm here bringing you updates once again! Between life changes with a new job and a big move, I've been happy to leave this site in the care of Quantum and Astrid, but I'm settled in now and back to the updating grind. With that preamble/excuse session out of the way, let's get right into the news! It's not too late to send in your nominations for this year's Karter Contest! Kyle of MK64 fame (amongst other achievements) has graciously taken on the task of running this biannual popularity contest on the forum, and you can still nominate players for the next couple days! I'm a bit late to the party here since my life has been too busy to make an early campaign, but it is not at all too late to nominate and vote for your fellow MKDS players or run a campaign yourself! I ran this contest in 2022 and have participated as much as I can every time it's hosted, do yourself a favor and check it out! Inactivity New Players #_ Riley joins from China with 3 Expert 3laps in the Mushroom cup. Activity #4 Boreas leads the way this week with DS 1'29"765 #10! He sliced 2 spots to slightly improve his #4 PRB standing, and his first PR submitted since May. Welcome back! #46 SirLampsALot rounds out the top 100 (wait, really?? quiet week...) with F8C 1'15"131/24"640 Myth D/God and rMC1 41"972 God, taking down Gods 29 and 30/64! He earned the biggest cut in the top 100 this week with a 1.1875 AF drop in Non-PRB, not passing anybody this time.
